Making Audio Keyframe changes to multiple channels at once in FCP7?
Hi,
I am editing (in FCP7) a series of clips that were shot on a Panasonic HVX200A. The audio is a bit low overall, but it is better in some places and worse in others. I want to go through and boost the signal at various points along the TL, using keyframes. Is there a way to do this once and have the changes appear on all four audio tracks? (The HVX outputs four tracks of audio; in this case, from two overhead mics.) Currently, I am making the changes to one track, then using the “Paste Attributes” function to the other three tracks. Is there any way to have the changes applied to all four tracks as I make them? It would save only a few clicks and keystrokes, but we are talking about close to a thousand clips!!!

sorry, copy/ paste attributes is the only way to do it within FCP.
there might be a way to do it via XML,
but you’d have to wait till you;d done all your clips, then do it.
i also think you’d need someone to write the app for you!alternatively, you could automate the shortcuts and keystrokes in a Macro app such as QuicKeys.

Seems like one of the weaknesses of mixing audio in FCP, at least this version. Making subgroups of faders is pretty key to the enterprise.
