    Hello,
Forgive me for the stupid question!
I am trying to make a jpg still from a clip that is
in my media pool. I seem to have forgotten how to do
    that.
    Thanks in advance!

Adding to what Don said, I think the easiest way is via a script. The script will then set all settings for optimum results and then output into the desired format. One of my newsletter issues has a couple articles on taking snapshots.

I did not say Excalibur – here’s a link to a FREE script!

Yes, Excalibur will certainly do it but there are MANY scripts out there that will perform the basic function of taking a snapshot as well. In fact, Vol 1 #5 of the newsletters talks all about taking snapshots AND includes the proper scripting information to do it via a script!

And I have NOT been overly promoting Excalibur on this site. In fact, *I* didn’t even post the fact that Excalibur had been upgraded to version 5. Out of 4644 posts on this site, I’ve mentioned Excalibur 302 times – and most of those were cases like THIS one where it was in response to another post.
