  • Making a layer change opacity according to another layer’s position?

Posted by Eran Solomon on April 30, 2013 at 7:37 pm

    Hey everyone,

I’m in the mid-process of doing a introduction flick for an iphone app. the regular kind of just a hand flickering the app around in the iphone.

I would like to add some realistic reflection of a backwards finger reflection.(I have that image.)

Is there a way to make a layer’s opacity, while following another layer’s position (parenting?), go from lets say %50 to 0% opacity according to the main layer’s position in the Z axis?

I want the reflection to appear only when the finger is close to the iphone itself (z axis).

    Thanks to whoever replies! 🙂
