I’m trying to make a flag wave in Final Cut or Motion. I have a graphic of the flag, but cannot find a suitable filter/behaviour to animate this. Advice please.

OK use Motion. But how do I animate the flag in Motion?

You use a “displacement map” to animate ripples in the flag. There are tutorials on the net if you google using key words, and I think there’s possibly one on the Cow in the tutorial section.
