    Hi there

I am getting into time-lapse in a big way and I discovered the following video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=71&v=-7wB0YFeHQI

I am just wondering how this look would have been created. To make an entire city look like a tiny toy city. I understand the motion helps with the illusion, but that’s not the only thing going on here. Is it a matter of having a super wide lens?

    Thank you in advance

I’m mobile on location right now, so can’t see the video… but I can certainly imagine what it looks like.

Search “tilt-shift lens” and you’ll find all kind of info. The tilt-shift effect is exactly what you are talking about, it can be done practically with a tilt-shift lens, it can also be simulated in post by selective focusing and blurring.

there’s also post processing effects like edge sharpening and colors and stuff.
