  • Making a 3d Path for an image to track around

    Hi there,

I’m a complete newb but would like create an elipse in 3D that I can rotate square images around giving the illusion of depth so that that the images at the back are small..they rotate around and are at the front of the elipse… abit like the new adobe acrobat v.9 template for a portfolio..one of them is a rotating images style. It’s hard to describe I guess.

I swear I’ve tried a lot of the tutorials…but can’t get the “elipse” I’ve created in Illustrator to paste into After Effects..and even if I could do this..not sure how to link a layer with an image onto the “path” so that is will track around the elipse.

    I hope someone can help.

    Cheers for now

Make sure you make the layer 3D by clicking the cube icon so you can rotate it in 3D space

Position the objects around it, then parent them to the elipse.

The keyframe rotation on the elipse and turn its visibility off
