Making a 16:9 Project
Hi,
Whenever I create a new project in Final Cut Pro the default setting for the project is always 4:3. How can I change this to a 16:9 project (I know that you can still place 16:9 footage in the 4:3 project but you just need letterboxing but I don’t want letterboxing and I want it to be a true 16:9 video).

Dylan,
1) You need to choose an anamorphic Easy Setup for your project, or open a new sequence and make sure to check the anamorphic box in the sequence settings before adding any vido to the timeline.
2) When posting questions here it would be very nice if you would tell us what type of video you’re trying to edit so we can give you accurate assistance. Editing is a craft that requires precision, so try to help us help you by giving us precise information.
