I know none of the options are good, but I have to add 4:3 footage in to a sequence with 99% of it anamorphic. Anyone ever do this? What are my best options? Letterbox it (it’s OK if I lose a little picture), squeeze it horizonally, then blow it up?

You want to scale it horizontally. Use the 3D effect.

Don’t you just use the resize tool and stretch your footage 133%?

Works for me – although if you have an early version of XPress Pro you’ll see a lovely green line at the tope of the frame after the render.

However I’ve heard the 3D effect is better quality than resize… Any clarify that?
