  • Make texture stick to text when individual characters are animated…is there a good way to do this?

I know I can precompose text to keep a texture in the right place, but if I am animating the tracking/kerning of a word is there any good way to keep the texture still on each individual letter? Same question would apply to animating individual 3d characters in a word.

The only thing I can think of is to apply the texture to a font ahead of time, making a custom font…but I don’t know how to that either.

I use cs6 and was hoping that a texture could be applied to 3d text (even though I want it flat) similar to the way you can do it in cinema 4d. But so far no luck there either.

Maybe there is a plug-in that could do this?

    What am I missing?

    Thanks for any help!
