Make Still Frame Without Export

Hi Preston,

While you could use remapping, frame hold is the easiest way. But it doesn’t work like After Effects.

Make a cut where you want the still fame, set to hold at in point and set your out point.

If your clip does not have enough frames to make the required duration or you want to use the last frame of a clip, use the stretch tool to stretch to the required length.

Okay, thanks for the advice. Adobe should really have something easier in place. FCP6 is very easy for making a still frame.

Agreed, a simple “Make Freeze Frame” option would be much more convenient. Adobe Feature Request

In CS6 there is a camera icon in the controls on the top left hand clip window — “export frame”.
