Make Solid backround transparent

August 5, 2022 at 10:54 amI am trying to export a frame with a 3D title and a transparent background. I created a project by using the title template in motion and modifying the text to look how I want it. I exported the frame, but the Background layer contains a solid with a black colour generator. If you hide this layer, everything disappears. Any opacity setting within this colour solid also makes everything else to be affected as well. When I try to copy this title to a different group, it is invisible. How can I get this Color Solid layer to be ignored in the export?

August 5, 2022 at 2:16 pmIf all you have in the frame is the 3D title, you need to export with a codec that has an alpha channel. Try exporting with ProRes 4444. That should work.

The project settings have to be ProRes 4444!
Otherwise no alpha channel with any codec.
