    Hello All,

have footage shot on a canon 5D mark II. a few clips were shot 29.97 with the intention of having them slowed down. I’m editing in final cut in a 23.98 sequence, as that is how the majority of the footage was shot.

can anyone let me know the best way to slow these down?

final output will be web and DVDs I believe.

thanks in advance for any help!

    best,

    jesse.

    Cinema Tools…CONFORM. Tutorial on that:

SMOOTH SLOW MOTION FROM 60P USING CINEMA TOOLS

You aren’t going to get much slowdown…like just a few percent, like 18% slower or something. It will be barely noticeable.

For smooth slow motion that is really slow, you need to shoot 48 or 60fps. That will get you between 2x and 2.5x slowness factors. 50% and 65% slower.
