!!!major problem harddisk!!!

Hello,

Im editing a realityshow for tv at home. They givin me a maxtor HD to work on, where the footage was captured on. It was shot on xdcam.
When i was editing after awhile FCP crashed and the HD didnt work aswell.
SO i put out my HD(not in the trash because it didnt work) and quit FCP.
I restarted my comp and now the Maxtor HD has no icon on my Desktop.
Its running( i can here) and the light is on, but i can not find it on my mac. I did search…

What could be the problem, i hope no crash. They have no backup!!!!
How can i found it back?
MAJOR PROBLEM!!!

Its a maxtor HD, with firewire 800.
Intel Mac, osx G5

HELP!!!!!

Get a copy of Disk Warrior and try that. If you can see the drive in Apple Disk Utility, you can try a repair with that, although, Disk Warrior is much better.

Who has the original DVDs that were shot by the XDCAM? They wouldn’t have thrown those away.

No i can not see anything in the disc utility.
Can warrior do this?

Try Disk Warrior. I’ve had drives disappear and Disk Warrior has brought them back. As long a the drive hasn’t been inadvertently erased, it might work. It’s not expensive and definitely worth a try.

I was going to suggest Disk Warrior as well, but my experience has been that if it doesn’t show up in Disk Utility then Disk Warrior won’t see it either.

But like John said It’s not that expensive and it could work, plus it’s always good to have on hand.
