  • Maintaining quality while using AE with Vegas?

    Hi there.

Um, I have been using Sony Vegas Pro 10, and After Effects CS4 (my system is 32-bits).

I want to edit my videos in Vegas, but also want to use the awesome effects in AE to complement it. The problem is, having to re-render.
First in AE to add the effects, then in Sony Vegas once the video is finished.

Re-rendering is supposed to mean quality lost, which is exactly the opposite of what I´m intending with the HD PVR.

Also, I know that Adobe Premiere Pro can dinamically interact with AE, but I personally think that Vegas is faster, so I wouldn´t like to use it.

If I´m forced to re-render in order to use both programs, which could be the best steps to avoid quality lost?

    Thanks

Pd: As a little side question, what is Gaussian blur for, in the video settings? Should I keep it on or off?

    I do the same things

The key is to render the AE in its best possible settings. You’re going to get like a HUGE file (dozens even hundreds of gigs). Then you can re-render in Vegas at it’s best settings. Should help maintain high quality
