    Hiya!

I’m doing upressing and conversions of a TV show and would just like to get confirmation or thoughts from someone else with the same experience.

We’ve received episodes of a TV show in 720×576 25i upper fields. The channel wants to broadcast in 720p 50fps (50 fps to maintain the aestethic video look of the shows). The main tv signal will be converted down the line to different broadcast delivery systems, but isn’t the main issue here.

In our conversions we’ve found that upressing SD interlaced (25i) video to HD progressive 50fps maintains the amount of frames from the original file (although deinterlaced (half quality) frames). Anybody had any experience in adobe media encoder for getting the best quality out of SDi file conversions to HD 50/60fps?
