40Mbps is the MAXIMUM Blu-ray spec bitrate. Not the average. Most BD movies are in the 18-25Mbps average for video bitrate.

July 21, 2015 at 3:14 pmYea, Aaron is right. Here are the specific answers to your questions (since I already typed them up):
[Márcio Nascimento] “1. Is the Help talking about DVD players or Blu-ray Players?”
It’s talking about Blu-ray players. You can’t exceed the allowable limits for Blu-ray discs just like you can’t make a DVD greater than 9Mbps. That’s the limit that the hardware players will support.
[Márcio Nascimento] “2. What means “DVD” for Archtect? Does it mean both types of media (DVD and Bluray)? Cause I never saw DVD with 25 or 50Gb, only Blu-ray.”
Looks like a typo if you read that in the documentation. DVD is 4.7GB or 9.5GB in size only.
[Márcio Nascimento] “3. Should I use 28 Mbps in MainConcept when rendering in Vegas?”
You should use the templates that start with “DVD Architect” and don’t change the bit-rate. They are designed to be compliant.
