January 24, 2008 at 4:37 pmJohn, I use that particular feature a LOT and have several different templates stored.
Here’s a tip for you about custom templates.
If you want to save them or are moving to a new PC and want them, all of the custom rendering templates are in:C:\Documents and Settings\
\Application Data\Sony\File Templates Where
is your windows account name.
Just copy them over to your new PC and they should be recognized. -

January 25, 2008 at 10:35 pmHi,
I am using Vegas Pro8. I have the same problem as previous message. I tried to output my .m2t file into mpg file. I use custom template HD 1445×1080 using Main Concept Encoder. Everytime I type in mpg as extension file, the outcome is always m2v file. It is exactly where I started. What did I do wrong here. -

January 26, 2008 at 1:28 amMy thought is that you have selected one of the BluRay templates.
HDV templates render with an m2t extension while BluRay has m2v. -

January 26, 2008 at 2:14 amThank you Mike. I started with file with extension .m2t from my FS-4HD. I want this .m2t converted to video stream. So I imported to Vegas PRo 8, edit it, and render, and try to save it as mpg file. MainConcept gives me choices of .mpg,.m2v,.m2t,and .mpa. However when I open the custom template, it says use this setting to create HDV with the extension .m2t. It goes back to square 1. That’s where I started. Is there any plug in or anyway to get mpg extension.

January 26, 2008 at 2:47 pmAchmad, if I understand you correctly, you want to make a DVD from this footage.
If that’s correct and this is to be a regular DVD, then you have to stay with a template like “DVD Architect NTSC video stream” and customize that.
My suspicion is that you have selected one of the BluRay or HDV templates and those won’t work for a regular DVD.
