Ok I get all my current mail for one project via the webmail. I log in by pointing my browser to
    mail.womeninboxes.com/horde

then fill out username / password

That server is about to go down so I want (need) to transfer all my old mail to my mac.. I am trying to set up my mail app to get it…. but it will not.

is that a POP or IMAP? do I set the mail app prefs for incoming to:
    https://mail.womeninboxes.com/horde

    uggg.. outgoing? smpt.what the hell?

any tips… I could probably figure it out with time… but that is what I do not have… must also finish edit tonight….

    Thanks,
    Harry

You need to get the pop settings from your email provider, if it is even an option (with some it is NOT). I have never heard of that email provider so I cannot say what they may be.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.

yep, you need to know somethings about your email provider. do they support pop or imap and what is their incoming mail server. you won’t need the smtp server (you would need it to be able to send email, but it sounded like you just want to download your current mail).

if you can’t find that info on your provider’s site, send them an email telling them what you are trying to do (set up mac osx mail to retrieve emails, or even just if they are pop/imap and the incoming mail server address). they should be able to help you out.
