Magnetic force animation
Looking for advice on how to animate short straight lines so they respond to a “magnetic” force coming from a ball. I’m basically trying to re-create this – https://imgur.com/a/ZzdSkBJ
My first thought was to create a null object and then pick-whip one end of each line to that but it didn’t work. I think I need something more advanced, like an expression or series of expressions, but I’m not advanced enough to know how to create one.
Any ideas on how to do this?

If you make each “stick” a 3D layer, and use lookat(point1,point2) on the Orientation property, the sticks will face the dot. You’ll probably need to adjust the anchor point to be at the end of the stick and fettle with the rotation properties to get it to behave correctly, but that should be all you need to do.
