Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this…

Booted up my machine today. All the sudden, I am no longer an “Administrator”, but a “Standard User”. At first I thought it was no big deal, but then as soon as I tried to install a program, it would no longer accept my user name and password to install.

Apparently, without warning the OS decided that I was no longer an administrator. There was no indication or freeze or crash or anything that this had happened.

According to the “Genius Bar” it is a documented issue, although I was not able to find anything about this anywhere.

Anyone out there know what causes this?

    Thanks,

    Scott

You upgraded to leopard didn’t you. It is a extremely rare side effect, but it can happen.
