I’ve corrected an image using AVID’s CC facility, and when i then apply magic bullet to the clip it doesn’t recognise the colour correction, and applys changes to the image based on what it originally looked like before I colour corrected it in AVID. Can only shed some light onto why this is?

When you apply the Magic Bullet effect, hold Alt as you drag it and don’t release Alt until the effect is applied. If you don’t hold Alt it removes the first effect (in this case, Color Correction) and replaces it with the second effect (Magic Bullet).

I’ve also found that when nesting effects using Magic Bullet the fx nested underneath it need to be rendered or else I get a black screen when entering the MB editor. But I looove MB.
