Magic Bullet Looks MisFire not working with Premiere CS 6.0.1?

I’ve upgraded to AP 6.0.3 as well. When I applied the both the Red Giant MisFire effects, dust and splotches, on an adjustment layer instead of the actual video, it worked. I was able to export the entire sequence without any problem. Took a while though.

I was able to stack 5 (and counting) of the individual misfire effects on an adjustment layer after the 6.0.3 update. However overall misfire (the one with gateweave, splotches etc…) still isn’t working. Only 2 stacked effects work if I put them directly on the clip. Hopefully the use of adjustment layers should work for me but I haven’t done enough testing to know if it’s full proof.

Is there a way to determine the version number of the misfire effect I have installed? Are updates Free for this?

Hmmm… I was able to stack the Dust and Splotches effects on the adjustment layer and have it export nicely. This wasn’t possible before. Here’s the final product: https://vimeo.com/51075813

I just emailed Red Giant about Magic Bullet Looks and Adobe Premiere CS 6.x, it has caused me no end of issues whenever I’ve tried to use it. It will apply effects to a clip or series of clips, but somewhere along the process, perhaps after applying misfire, or something else, Premiere freezes. I have tried different effects and it still causes, at unpredictable moments (when, for instance, cutting a clip that has a MB Look applied to it) to freeze. So I uninstalled it and am requesting a refund.

I have had this same problem for 3 days now. However I solved it. Here is what you must do, or at least the only way I could get it to work. You had to dynamic link Premiere Pro with After Effects. Click and drag the AE project file into the project window in Premiere. Then it will ask you to select which composition you want to use (if you have more than one). Then drag it into the timeline once it is imported. Export from Premiere with the same exact parameters of your AE project file, and it will work!!! Yes you are welcome in advance!!!!!!!! m/
