I’ve looked at quite a few of the posts re auto setup problems with Magic Bullet Suite 2 and haven’t really gained any knowledge from them…… I’m running AE7 and trying to run the magic bullet … I hit auto set up (which appears to be the only way in) firstly it does nothing at all …and then it tells me that it can find no association with the frame rate or some such nonsense … I seem to be completely stuck .. It won’t let me get any further ….. what do I do now ? Help me pleeeeeze !

I might be wrong but I think that Magic BUllet is one of the plug-ins that isn’t compatible with AE 7.0.

    Hope I’m wrong.

I’m not sure about the compatibility with 7, but some things to check (This is for NTSC land).

Make sure that the footage is not set to de-interlace in the intepret footage dialog box. Also make sure that the frame rate of the footage differs from that of the comp.

Here is a quick set-up….import 29,97 footage. Turn of de-interlacing for the footage. Bring the footage into a new comp and set the comp frame rate to 23,976. Apply the magic bullet to the clip. Click on the auto-set-up in the effect controls window…..magic bullet should congratulate you. Now apply a look to it.

I use Magic bullet a lot at work (version 1 unfortunately) along with After Effects 6.5. I use AE 7 at home (Production suite premium) but I don’t have the Bullet at home.

    Regards
