May 22, 2012 at 9:45 amOK, so is it ‘Mac Pro Nvidia 8800GT 8800 GT 1st Gen ’06/’07 1 Gig Enable Mercury Playback’? Do you ship to UK, it does not show up on ebay.co.uk (I am in UK).

June 19, 2012 at 5:26 pmEnded up getting a ATI 5770 (PC). The 5770 seems the best option.

July 7, 2012 at 3:22 pmJust curious to know how the 5770 is working for you. I too have a Mac Pro 1,1.. looking to speed things up a bit. Can you be specific as to exactly which 5770 you purchased?
Thanks

July 8, 2012 at 3:33 amDesktop ATI cards are not supported on the Adobe list. They are reportedly unstable and create crashes.
The supported nVidia Cards for Mac are the way to go. OpenCL doesn’t seem so stable at the moment. There are only two ATI cards on the list are only for the MacBookPro’s.
Just giving you the heads up and not to expect desktop ATI cards to work, they won’t and your experience will suffer.
