Thanks to all the good help at this forum I have come along way with my voice-over station.
    Here is my inviroment:
    1. Sound deadened room
    2. Audio Technical tube AT 4060 mic w/power supply
    3. Going into a Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro
    4. Then going into a M-Audio Delta 44 audio card
    5. Using Sony Vegas 6 to record and edit

I have a USB M-box with Pro Tools LE in my inventory. Would I get better quality recording by using this USB M-box and Pro tools or am I just as good using my set up with Sony Vegas 6.

    Thanks Jim

Shouldn’t make a bit of difference. Go with your preference with editing software.

    Thank you.

I was just wondering if the pre amp(in Mackie or MBox) was noisier than the other.
And if Pro Tool’s quality for straight audio capturing was better than Sony’s Vegas
