Machine control but no video
I’m capturing directly from a Sony DVCAM deck through firewire. When I choose the easy setup, I get a message that the deck is missing. When I continue and open a capture window, I can control the Sony deck but see no video in the capture preview.
I have an AJA Io connected to the system but it comes in on its own firewire bus (the Mac’s), the Sony is on a seperate FW card.
I’ve tried all the flavors of DV NTSC but can;t get the video to show. Any thoughts oh great ones???

I’ve never used that setup, but my understanding is that you can’t use FCP with a Firewire card. It needs to connect to the 2 that come on the G4.
