Any idea how many realtime nodes I can squeeze out from the new Macbook pro Retina? I’m working strictly on Prores 422 1920X1080.

    thanks!

I did this quick test, 7 nodes with nodes I would normally use on a grade (tracked windows, qualifiers, vignettes, etc). Runs 24 fps with no problem, I was pulling a 2 minute 422 HQ file via gigabit ehernet on another computer.

So if this is a Retina, could you set it to 2500 or something to see more of the image and have a less cluttered view ?

Yes you can with an app called Change Resolution, but the text becomes so small it hurts my eyes, i set it to 1920 x 1200 and it works pretty well.
