    If you are about to buy a MP, and if you can wait, wait a little.
    New models are due to be released soon.
    Probably better opportunities for second hands.

    Unless you need portability, buy a Mac Pro… the faster the better. It’s expandable way beyond what you can do with any other Mac. Compression is going to be part of all of our workflows more and more… the Internet, and even broadcast entities are accepting files all ready for distribution, and Mac Pro’s are a TON faster than any of the other machines.
