  • Macbook Pro Retina reliable for editing suite?

I’m looking to get a refurb or used Retina for part of my editing suite. Would like to get it over the non-retina for a number of reason, but I’m concerned about the reliability issues like the screen (burn-in, flicker), fans over-running, GPU issues, etc. I’d definitely get the extended AppleCare, but am wondering if the unit is fit for prime time even with it.

So, does anyone have any thoughts on the overall reliability/ advisability of a retina as an everyday editing computer? Also, will Apple take care of you and eventually give you a reliable rMBP if you go to them with AppleCare?

    Thanks for any help!

Depending, what your main work field is.
AppleCare also depends on the country you are in..If you live in Israel,
I’d say forget about good custom service from them 😉
