macbook pro drive and composer 5.
for media composer 5 on a macbook pro Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.5 GHzthe system drive is only 5400 RPM where as Avid rec: 7200 rpm.
Now my media drive is an external 2 GIG e-sata 7200 raid 0.
Does the slower system drive matter? My plan is to buy a new Mac Pro when the new systems come out so I could wait but I’d like to get started.

Slower system drive means nothing. Nearly ALL system drives are 5400.
