Macbook Pro and FCP – 3 gigs of RAM
Hi all.
I’ve been reading various threads about FCP not liking uneven amounts of RAM – none of which seem to give a definative answer about this situation in the MBP.
I’m looking at purchasing a new MBP in the next month and, as I use After Effects alot, 3 Gigs of RAM (1x1gig & 1x2gig sticks) would be really useful.I will also be purchsing FCS2 upgrade at the same time and was wondering if anyone has any experiences or advice they could lay on the table.
Will FCP 6 be happy with 3 gigs?
Will it run as faster if it had 2 gigs in it?Thanks in advance for your help.

It will be happy with the 3 gigs… the posts below about ram only refer to Mac Pros, not the laptops.
