    Hello,
When I unplug a firewire connection, (Sony DSR-11 deck or MultiMix 8 Alesis mixer) or at the end of a DVD burn using iDVD or when I am capturing a tape into FCP from our JVC GYHD-110 and turn the camera off, my Mac Pro gives an error message that tells me I have to shut down. Is this common or is it operator error, a setting off somewhere, and is there a known fix?

    Here are my particulars:
    MAC OSX v 10.4.10
    2×3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    8 GB 667 MZ DDR2 FB-DIMM
    Final Cut 6.0.1

Thank you for any help or direction with this problem.

Took the machine into the Mac Pro guys at my local Apple store. They said I was experiencing a kernal(sp?) panic. They replaced the logic board and the board on the front that has the firewire connected and said it should be fine now.

Funny thing is that when iDVD finishes burning a disc and I shut the program off, I get the same error as when I disconnected a firewire device. Weird huh?
