Mac Pro won’t boot
I was playing with the read/write thingies and clicked the + on the main/mac hd. Then I ‘OK’d’ it to allow access, or something like that (I think). Then the ‘progress bar’ showed up and started doing its thing, which I mistakenly thought was a ‘good thing’. While waiting for it to finish I went on to photoshop, iTunes, etc. Suddenly a window came up with something about not being able to read/write such and such program because it was improperly installed and to contact such and such for updates. I clicked OK and found another window right behind it… And another… There must have been a million. I clicked until my index finger became calloused. After if finally finished I thought maybe I did something wrong so I rebooted. That’s when I knew I had done something wrong and which is why I’m now typing on my MBP…
It boots as far as the chime and the gear that never stops spinning, that’s it.
I have time machine on an external and would like to know if there may be some way to use an earlier backup and how to get to it from my MBP?
All help appreciated.
