    Hello,
    I`m planing on buying a MacPro for video editing. Can someone please tell a good configuration for a buget of 6000$ ? I’m planning on editing Red footage.

    To edit red footage… that budget is not gonna get you very far.. the computer alone will cost that much. A good i/o card like a kona Lhi will run you 12-1500.. then you need a good raid….that will give you 250-300 mb/sec for good throughput.

    If you’re doing serious RED editing, i.e. 2K frames, you’ll need a Kona 3, which is even mire. The LHi is limited to 1920×1080 frames.
