I’m really struggling with what to do. I’m trying to decide if I should go with a new 8-core or old 12-core. I can get a used 12-core 2010 Mac Pro on eBay for 1/2 the price of a new 8-core and the Geekbench scores are just as good but this doesn’t measure the GPU (and there are 2 of them). I’m really interested in how much better the D500/D700 GPU’s are than the Radeon HD 5870 that come with the older Mac Pros. This could be the deciding factor for me.

Yea, I would never go back to Windows if you paid me. I only use it for Vegas Pro editing these days.
