I just yesterday installed Resolve Lite to my old old mac pro just for fun to see what happens and
holy smokes it worked with ati 5770.

I have spare license for Resolve but now i’m wondering if i would update my gpu to something like gtx 780 would it still work or ATI only ?

I mean to use this machine as look creation and home stuff but just makes me wonder.

I had a Quadro 4000 running in one and it just worked totally fine.
I guess if you find the power it will be ok.

PS : The Quadro 4000, The AJA KONA 3 and the Decklink Extreme are for sale if someone is interested … Price is 50% of the cheapest retail you can find 🙂

It did come to me as surprise 🙂

I did test some time ago but then i may have had wrong gpu in there.

Now i have great machine for “hobby” videos at home then 😉
