Mac OS 10.6.7 Compatible with Premiere 5.5?
The specs on the trial download say Premiere requires 10.6.3
I have a new 17″ MBP which I believe came with 10.6.7 installed.
I get the impression that some are running 5.5 on OS 10.6.7 (with some issues.)
I’d like to try Premiere to explore some of its features and will not be putting it to the test as far as heavy video work.
Any issues? Bad idea?

Here’s what it says:
“Mac OS X v10.5.8 or v10.6.3; Mac OS X v10.6.3 required for GPU-accelerated performance”These are _minimum_ system requirements. Later operating systems work, too.
Nearly everyone in my office is using Mac OSX v10.6.7. I know of no problems caused by this version of this OS.

Thanks for the reply.
I see you work at Adobe and that makes it quite kind of you to be answering questions on the forum so please don’t take this the wrong way.
Since nowhere on the page does it say that the specifications are “minimum” requirements, perhaps you could suggest to the appropriate Adobe folks to add “or later” to the Mac system software tech specs posted.
Otherwise someone might read the words “System requirements” at the top of the web page to mean “system requirements” like I did. ; )
