I had some light gray graphics over white and I noticed on a couple of my Mac computer monitors the gray was visible and on another it was not. It wasn’t consistent. I played around with monitor controls, and did a full calibration with the Mac Color utility. Didn’t quite get there. Gradients would fade to white in an odd way. Something was not right.

So I dug around some more in the System settings and discovered a setting under Accessibility – Display – Display Contrast. For some reason this was pushed to the right a couple of tick marks….slid it back to the left and voila there were my gradients. All grays were nice and smooth and everything visible.

Checked on my iMacPro and setting was similar although it was not slid as far. Did a full recalibration and it is looking spot on….now all monitors match and I’m back in business!

    Hump day tip!
