Hi I have to go out to a remote location and film for 2 weeks and do a rough cut. I wanted to limit the baggage and was wondering how it would go running 2 firwire drives off a Mac mini plus inputing DV footage. The organisation has a monitor at location so I could use a mini with FCP 4.5 or else use my ibook but only G3 running FCP3.
Any advice? Anyone using Mini like this. Issues i’ll have
    cheers Nick

I think the mini is DEFINATELY the way to go here… FCP 4.x captures DV clips differently than FCP 3 did… so you’ll be better off using the mini for the job I’d think. If you use FCP 3, they won’t be “optimized” for FCP HD or later.
