    Hi Folks!

Do you think I’ll be okay doing editing on a decked out Mac Mini with USB 3 external SATA drives?

    MAC Mini Specs:

    2.6 Quad Core i7
    8GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM
    256GB Solid State Drive
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
USB 3.0 JBOD External 4 Bay SATA Drive enclosure (125MB/s)
    Mountain Lion

    Usage:

Editing Apple ProRes files in FCP 7 & 10 and Adobe Premiere Pro 6

NOTE: I will NOT be working with 4K, animation or After Effects

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Jake

It’s a little under-powered for using FCPx, I should think. For FCP7 it may work if you don’t push too many layers or multicams at once. But it hardly seems an optimal thing to do.
