    Hi,

sometimes my mac freezes completely when im working in resolve. i cant move the mouse, colored ball isnt spinning anymore, just have to shut down the mac manually. i have never experienced this before with any other program (after effects/nuke/premiere or anything else), it only happens in resolve. sometimes it happens after 5 minutes, sometimes after 15, sometimes an hour, or sometimes immediately after starting up. but it always happens after some time.

also, i didnt have this problem a year ago, i guess it happened after an update or so. im working with resolve 10.1.2(full version). i had the problem with lite too.

im on a mac pro quad, 16GB DDR3 , OSX 10.9.2 (mavericks), NVIDIA 680 GTX

anyone else who also have/had this problem?

    Yes, constantly..

But only on HD+ timelines with temporal Noise reduction.

I’d say it’s a mavericks thing. Started for me when I was forced to go to 10.9.2 due to switching to amd gpus. 10.1.4 for me. Good thing is even though resolve freezes it still let’s you save. But then it’s a hard reboot of Mac.

hmm ok. guess ill just wait for more updates to fix it..

also, when i apply a temporal noise reduction filter it really works like a charm, but i just found out that when i try render it, it always crashes at the shots with the NR applied.. (message: out of GPU memory) really annoying. my GPU is a 680 GTX 2GB.

You are in fact out of gpu memory. Reduce the temporal noise reduction. Or get a gpu with much more ram.
