Mac – Finder freezing, not responding (spinning ball) – Overloaded Desktop

Happy New Year!
My Mac system is Mojave.
I was exporting a film as Tif files on Premiere, but by mistake I exported on my Desktop around 30.000 files.
When the export finished, I couldn’t see any files on my Desktop.
Now I cannot see any files on my Desktop and my Finder is freezing (spinning ball) and not responding.
I tried to relaunch Finder via Terminal, but same thing happens over and over again.
The Finder window opens, but when I click on the window, then it freezes again.
I also tried to update my system, but I get the same result.
I also tried the first aid procedure, but again the same.
My Time Machine option was not active.I cannot access any of my files.
My guess is that Finder is freezing and not responding because my Desktop is too full with the 30.000 files on it. It is probably overloaded.
I would delete those files but I cannot see any files at all as I mentioned already.What am I supposed to do?

I can think of a couple of ways:
– boot the machine in Target Disk Mode (hold the ‘T’ key on startup), and plug it into another Mac
– boot the machine in Single-User Mode, and attack the files from the TerminalDoug Metz

Why bother trying to launch Finder once you have the Terminal window open? Just make a new folder move the files off of your desktop info that folder from the terminal:
mkdir export-filesThat should move all of the tiff files from your desktop into a folder called export-files. You should then be able to access your desktop again.
mv ~/Desktop/*.tiff export-files~jr

If you are afraid that your desktop is full and that is why it is not working, then as you are not finding the files you have recently transferred, so you should delete some other files and free up some space to see if it works or not.
