  Mac Desktop = Slow render.

  Ok maybe everyone knows this but me, but I was rendering a full 58:30 with a lot of Motion Graphic overlays in the broadcast and was taking a lot of time to render. I opened color just to play around and as I have heard before that color will not open when the Mac Desktop is on, well it won’t open because of Open GL. Light bulb went off in my head, lets turn off the Mac Desctop and render all my Motion effects in FCP. What was going to take 19 hours to render on a Mac Pro 3ghz with ATI 1900 now only takes 46 minutes. For those who did not know this turn it off when you want to render Motion files in FCP. Big Difference!
