Sorry to throw water on your dreams.

March 3, 2006 at 12:43 amWord up. It doesn’t work. Period.
It will be like driving a V8 with only three cylinders firing.
If you are getting it to run After Effects, then you really need to rethink this. If you are getting it for the Apple apps and the just announced ProTools universal binary version, then by all means get it. But don’t buy one expecting it to run something that is just not going to run correctly.
This is my last word on the subject.

March 3, 2006 at 12:44 amNo, not the Mac version and the PC version can’t run on the Mac.

March 3, 2006 at 1:30 amNope its not even worth trying. Adobe said they might not offer intel-mac support until 2007.

March 3, 2006 at 1:17 pmAs a mac user, I still love my powerbook, but had to post about these new dell laptops we just recieved….

With the high end 256MB Nvidia Go 7800 (Full OpenGl support in AE), the high resolution monitor and maxed out with RAM and CPU – this thing ROCKS! (minus the form factor..). Ironically, aside from the Quads in our lab, these laptops are faster than most of our desktops. (Using Nucleo of course…..;)
