i downloaded a couple tv shows from iTunes and they come down in m4v format. neither FCP nor iMovie will recognize and load these files. is there anything i can do with them, as i would like to be able to put them on a DVD?

thanks for helping out a bonehead!

Those are copywright protected files you should not be rying to edit them in the first place

And you cannot burn them to a DVD. Sorry, Quicktime and iTunes viewable only. This is why I didn’t download FIREFLY. i want them on DVD.

i wasn’t trying to edit them. just want to put them on DVD for archiving and viewing later. you are absolutely correct – they ARE copyrighted, but i also paid for them on iTunes and downloaded them. there should be nothing wrong with putting them on a disc.
