m4V conversion troubles
Ever since I installed SVP 10 I have been unable to convert m4V files to DV AVI without my system spontaneously rebooting. I have always been able to do these conversions in both QT Pro and SVP 8, but now they all crash. Is anybody doing these conversions without problems in SVP 10? What might the installation have done to hose up my system this way? Thanks for any help.
(using SVP 10d in XP Pro on a core i7)

My apologies to Sony. The problem was due to some unexplained alterations to my BIOS settings that created voltage and memory speed mismatches, and consequently overheating. Interesting that the problem so consistently manifested itself when dealing with m4V files. Wonder if their compression scheme requires more CPU cycles than others? Anyway, all is well and I’ll be having a chat with ADK tomorrow to figure out how my MB spontaneously changed its settings.
