  • M2v vs. H.264 problem solving

I’m trying to determine if using H.264 is better than the M2v codec.
    Here’s the situation:

I work in AE to make small presentations generally 15 to 30 seconds long. Then I render out an uncompressed Quicktime file which I convert to an M2v file by exporting it with Quicktime. The audio file is converted to an AC3 file with A-Pack so that the presentation can then be burned on a DVD. I end up with multiple presentations on the DVD (20-30).

    My question is two fold:
Is this the best procedure to take to get my finished spot to DVD?
    and
Is the H.264 a better codec to use for this?

Also, should I render directly from AE to H.264 and then how do I prepare the audio for DVD?

Sorry for so many ?’s, I’m just trying to find out if I’m doing things right, and if there is a better way to do thing using H.264.

    Thanks for all help.

H.264 is not compatable with DVD.
