I am rendering some SD content to BlueRay and let’s not get into why other than it’s a storage thing and don’t want to keep a bunch of AVI’s on it. I have an uncompressed VHS tape I dubbed to my computer and am not trying to with some scrubbing plugins, render this to m2ts. Problem is I want to use 720×480 but it only allows like 1440 and 1920. Is this a flaw or am I missing something? I was under the impression that the m2ts container supported 720×480. The MainConcept AVC option just doees 640 and something smaller. Any input?

    Thanks.

m2ts files are HD I believe. try setting your project to that HD setting, edit and then rendering to SD wide screen. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

As Danny said, m2ts is AVCHD. If you want SD AVC use the AVC elemental video stream. That supports NTSC 720×480. Otherwise just use SD MPEG2 with a high bitrate.
