m2t format issues
I’ve recently filmed footage on a high-def camera and captured the footage through Adobe OnLocation. The files export in m2t format. I’ve searched the web and it looks like m2t is a type of mpeg video that has some sort of additional streaming related data.
Anyway, I’m having a problem using the footage in Premiere Pro and AfterEffects (both CS3). When I playback the footage within either of these programs, the video plays slightly faster than normal, causing A/V sync issues.
The problem is that, for whatever reason, the programs assume the footage is 29.97 fps, when in reality the footage is 23.976.
In AfterEffects I can re-interpret the footage and change the frame rate to 23.976, but then the audio gets clipped.
Does anyone know how to either make sure the sound doesn’t get clipped, or perhaps convert the m2t into avi format? I’m not all too worried about taking up a lot of hard drive space.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
