i’ve heard that the best way to transfer the m2t files into FCP is through MPEG streamclip but does that cause a loss of quality at all. More compression. From the camera using the hard drive like the new Sony one that’s supposed to come out soon, it a firewire 400 interface? or 800?

    Hi,
Use MPGStreamclip but export as Unc 8b, not as DV. from a DVD player, through FireWire, you can not capture nothing because you get a MPG stream, not a video signal.
    Cheers,
    Rafael
